Code of Conduct

SUPPLIER CODE OF CONDUCT

Purpose of the Supplier Code of Conduct

The Supplier Code of Conduct sets out the fundamental environmental, social, and ethical standards that suppliers must meet in order to cooperate with Dansk Audit Institut (DAI). These requirements represent minimum standards for conducting responsible business with the company. DAI values constructive relationships with suppliers and strives to achieve sustainability goals through open dialogue and continuous improvement.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations

DAI complies with all relevant national and international laws, rules, and standards as described in the Supplier Code of Conduct. Suppliers are expected to do the same. In cases of conflict between laws, rules, or standards and the Supplier Code of Conduct, suppliers must always adhere to the highest applicable standard.

Commitment to International Initiatives

The Supplier Code of Conduct is aligned with internationally recognized agreements that promote responsible practices in relation to human rights, labor rights, environmental protection, and anti-corruption. DAI commits itself to the following frameworks:

  • UN Global Compact

  • UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights

  • The Universal Declaration of Human Rights

  • UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

  • EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)

Due Diligence and Cooperation

DAI recognizes that a supplier’s ability to meet the requirements of the Supplier Code of Conduct may vary depending on size, type, and complexity.

Expectations: Suppliers must cooperate on due diligence activities, risk assessments, inspections, audits, and reporting. They must implement measures to address identified risks.
Non-compliance: Repeated neglect or lack of participation in due diligence may lead to termination of the contract.
Obligation: Suppliers must establish policies, procedures, and management systems that ensure compliance throughout their supply chains.

Obligations of Suppliers and Sub-suppliers

Suppliers are responsible for ensuring that their sub-suppliers meet the same or equivalent standards. This holistic approach ensures that the Supplier Code of Conduct is adhered to throughout the entire supply chain.

Requirements for Cooperation with DAI

  • Freedom of association: Employees must have the right to organize and engage in collective bargaining.

  • Forced labor: Prohibition of forced labor, human trafficking, and slavery.

Environmental Responsibility

Suppliers bear all costs associated with meeting these requirements and must proactively report any deviations from the Supplier Code of Conduct.
